Central States Enterprises has had its roots in the feed and grain industry since the end of World War II. The company was first established as Central States Seed Co. in northern Indiana in 1947. The 1977 formation of Central States Grain Co. in Ft. Wayne, Indiana ushered in the modern era of our organization's growth. Expansion into the South came with the construction of a grain storage facility in Camilla, Georgia in 1980, followed by the 1981 opening of a grain and feed mixing facility in McAlpin, Suwannee County, Florida. Lastly, in 1988 we witnessed the opening of our Lake City feed, grain and retail operation.
